Our Terms and Conditions section serves as a written understanding and a protective mechanism for you-the customer, as well as us-the corporation. If the guideline set forth herein are followed by both parties the business transactions will remain consistent with a productive working relationship. At Xaala Mainama we pride ourselves in maintaining good-standing, up-front, and transparent business practices in all matters.

- All performances by the performing ensemble require a 50% deposit to lock in the date/time of performance and to ensure availability of the performers. This deposit should be made at the time of booking the performance, but not later than two (2) weeks prior to performance date. The remaining 50% shall be due upon completion of services.

- Any checks that returned for non-payment will be assessed a $50.00 fee per transaction/check.

- Under no circumstances are there to be any communication to or from customers, vendors, associates, nor partners that is foul, abusive, violent, offensive, nor inappropriate at any time.

- Xaala Mainama nor any of it's employees, agents, or performers will not deface destroy, misuse, or devalue any property or persons while on-site for a performance/event.

Return and Refund Policy

PERFORMANCES

- The 50% deposit is non-refundable.

- Cancellation of an artistic performance requires a two (2) week notice for approval of cancellation of contract.

- There are no refunds for services to include speeches, history classes, drum-making seminars, drum classes, dance classes, drum/dance/song performances making and/or altering costumes, making, tuning, or repairing drums.

- Overdue accounts subject to monthly interest of 1.5% - 3%.

RETAIL PURCHASES

- There is a 20% restocking charge applied to all approved returns which must be within seven (15) days.

- Absolutely no return for goods purchased over fifteen (15) days.

- All merchandise on lay-away remains property of Xaala Mainama African Arts Ensemble until full payment is made.

- All returns and/or warranty services must be accompanied by the original sales receipt.

- Overdue accounts subject to monthly interest of 1.5% - 3%.

- One (1) month guarantee on all instruments, carrying bags, costumes, and props.

- One (1) free tuning is included for each djembe, ashiko, dununba, and talking drum.

- There are no refunds on the rental of equipment.

Common items in a terms and conditions agreement allow you to:

Withdraw and cancel services, and make financial transactions.
Manage customer expectations, such as liability for information errors or website downtime.
Explain your copyright rules, such as attribution, adaptation, commercial or non-commercial use, etc.
Set rules for user behavior, like forbidding unlawful behavior, hate speech, bullying, promotions, spam, etc.
Disable user accounts.
Write down any other terms or conditions that protect you or your audience.
